Migration flows in Latin America over the last 10 years

Abstract

This article seeks to provide an overview of migration flows in Latin America between 2015 and 2015, in connection with the transformations that were already taking place at the beginning of the 21st century. Considering the consolidation of transnational communities and the predominant trend of south-to-north migration, it addresses the various trends in the Latin American continent, particularly South America. From the perspective of migration corridors, it points out some more recent transformations, and the intensification of south-to-south flows, in the context of the direction of flows towards the Mexico-United States border.
