Abstract

The migration of indigenous Warao from Venezuela to Brazil, driven by extreme vulnerability and socioeconomic crisis in their home country, is a complex phenomenon involving physical displacement, cultural adaptation and social integration. This article aims to explore the various facets of this migration by examining four main aspects: the historical context and migration routes of the Warao, the impact on Warao communities, the living conditions of migrants in Brazil and the public policies and support programs implemented to meet their needs. The research is based on a systematic literature review, using academic databases and relevant sources to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and dynamics involved. The findings highlight the need for more inclusive and culturally sensitive policies to effectively support Warao migrants.
